How much does it cost to grade a card in 2026?
PSA's entry point is currently $79.99 per card (Regular) after the cheaper Value tiers were paused in June 2026. CGC runs $15 (Bulk, 25-card minimum) to $55 (Standard), SGC Standard is about $25, and BGS Base is about $20. Add round-trip insured shipping, typically $10 to $25 for a small submission.
When is grading a card worth it?
When the graded market value at the grade you actually receive exceeds the raw value plus grading fees, shipping, and the extra selling costs. In practice that usually means the card is worth $100 or more raw, or has a realistic shot at a top grade with a large gem premium. Low-value cards almost never pay for grading at current fees.
Where do the prices in this calculator come from?
Live market data: over 1.4 million price points across sports cards, Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and more, refreshed daily. TCG values are per-condition market prices (JustTCG, with TCGplayer market price filling gaps); sports values are recorded sold prices. Values marked as estimates are interpolated where no recent data exists at that exact grade, and are labeled as such.
